About Us

One Life at a Time is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 2008 by Christine and Jim Driscoll in response to the rise in unemployment in the New England area and throughout the United States. After receiving a monetary gift from a whistleblowing lawsuit, the Driscoll’s gifted funds to the start of our nonprofit that would address the issues of joblessness and underemployment – and the sense of hopelessness that most often accompanies such a loss. It is FROM charity and FOR the purpose of charity that One Life at a Time was born. We have helped over 5,000 individuals from all walks of life with the career building essentials needed to be successful in the work place, and help build a “purpose-driven” career.

As Executive Director and Founder, Christine volunteers her time and talent in hopes that such action would inspire others to give of themselves; she does not receive a salary. It is her and her staffs’ examples of “selfless giving” and “pay it forward” philosophy that has enabled clients to realize hope, once again.
We need the help of other business owners, foundations, and private donors to help continue our mission.  Our resources are limited; the needs of our clients are great. Please consider making a contribution or partnering with us.
