About Us

One Life at a Time is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 2008 by Christine and Jim Driscoll in response to the rise in unemployment in the New England area and throughout the United States. After receiving a monetary gift, the Driscoll’s gifted funds to the start of our nonprofit that would address the issues of joblessness and underemployment – and the sense of hopelessness that most often accompanies such a loss. It is FROM charity and FOR the purpose of charity that One Life at a Time was born. We have helped over 8,000 individuals from all walks of life with the job development essentials needed to be successful in the work place, and help with long term job placement.

Our Approach

One Life at a Time is partnered with local businesses and community organizations in an effort to better understand their hiring needs, hiring methods, and candidate requirements. From the information obtained, key strategies and resources are implemented into our programs to ensure individuals are receiving the appropriate employment training to meet the demands of the today’s market place.

We need the help of other business owners, foundations, and private donors to help continue our mission.  Our resources are limited; the needs of our clients are great. Please consider making a contribution or partnering with us.
Supporting individuals in their quest to find and maintain meaningful employment.
